Ravensthorpe Memorial Playing Field.
Located
on the Teeton Road the Memorial Playing Field has a modern pavilion with
full sports changing facilities, kitchen/bar area and club room.
The field has a popular childrens play area, football field and artificial turf cricket wicket.
The facilities are available for hire and are highly suitable for events requiring marquees such as weddings and large family parties.
Christmas Quiz - 3rd December
The festive quiz was enjoyed by approx 15 teams who managed to raise around £500 for the Playing Field Management funds.
The new Chairman, Barry Langsford thanked everyone for attending before leading evryone in a chorus of "I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday' by Roy Wood. Roy Wood is appearing at Market Harborough on Saturday 18th December.
Tree Planting
Around 16 villagers joined members of the Memorial Playing Field Committee
on Sunday 7th November to plant over 40 new saplings. It is hoped
that once these new trees mature villagers will be able to pick the fruit
to make jams and other fayre.

10 Year Joint Anniversary
Both
the Woodland
Trust and the Playing Fields combined forces to celebrate their
10th anniversaries on September 3rd and 4th.
The Woodland Trust displayed examples of their work programmes on the playing field and in the Pavilion.
On Friday the Woodland Trust invited VIP guests from all over the country to visit Top Ardles Wood and hear about the latest initiative from the Woodland Trust.
